Located at 37900 N 45th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona, the Federal Correctional Institution, Phoenix (often abbreviated FCI Phoenix) is a medium‐security federal prison for male offenders, complemented by an adjacent minimum‐security satellite prison camp for female inmates.Opened in 1985, the institution is managed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and forms part of the federal network of correctional facilities designed to house individuals convicted of federal offenses.With its dual‐facility structure, FCI Phoenix aims to maintain secure custody while providing programmes and services that support rehabilitation, education and eventual reentry of inmates into society.
